Short Take: ACLU executive appointed president of Electronic Frontier Foundation

The nonprofit Electronic Frontier Foundation announced that Barry Steinhardt has been appointed as its president and chief executive officer. Steinhardt is currently the associate director of the American Civil Liberties Union. Steinhardt replaces Lori Fena, who has been elected chair of the board for EFF and is returning full-time to the private sector. Fena replaced Esther Dyson, who resigned as chair but remains on the board.
