Give yourself a rapid shortcut to searching a specific website in Google Chrome.

We all have our favourite websites, and not all of them have a perfect search tool living on their own website. Today we'll show you how to add keyword searching to your Google Chrome browser.

First, you'll want to cut and paste the following slice of code:

{google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{google:originalQueryForSuggestion}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&q=site:sitehere %s

Then you want to right-click the Chrome search box and click on Edit Search Engines. Now scroll down and add the name of the site you want to search, followed by a short keyword.

For example, if I search CNET all the time, I might make my keyword the letter "c". Now paste in the piece of code and update the site name to the site you want to search. Just be sure to keep the "%s" at the end.

Now go back to the browser, tap your keyword, and you'll see Chrome prepare to search just that specific website. It's a little tricky, but it can save you thousands of clicks a year if you use that site a lot.
