Finjan, which has reached agreements with nine firewall software vendors to back its technology, today unveiled SurfinCheck, designed to protect small to midsized companies with Internet connections.
SurfinCheck, a scaled-down version of Finjan's SurfinGate server software, scans for Java applets and wards off suspicious or hostile code.
SurfinCheck, priced at $695 for ten Windows NT users, gives small organizations the chance to take advantage of some of the features of the company's SurfinGate product, without paying the $6,250 list price.
The company plans to make additional, unspecified security-related announcements next week, a source close to the company said.
