PSINet inks service provider deal

PSINet will provide dial-up access for IDT, a regional ISP in New Jersey.

Continuing its move to become a powerhouse in wholesale Internet access services, PSINet today signed a deal to provide dial-up access for customers of IDT, a regional ISP based in Hackensack, New Jersey.

PSINet will become IDT's primary provider of dial-up Internet access at speeds up to 28.8 kbps. IDT provides Web site hosting and direct connection services to corporations, in addition to consumer accounts.

Last week, PSINet shed its own consumer access accounts and signed a similar deal with MindSpring Enterprises to provide dial-up access services.
