Pinterest to get 'beautiful' profile redesigns
Speaking at SXSW, the fastest growing social-networking site's CEO announces there are some changes to look forward to in the near future.

Pinterest's co-founder and CEO Ben Silbermann had a few announcements to make at South by Southwest today--not only will users' profiles get revamped but people will be able to pin videos and an iPad app is on the way.
According to the tech news site Mashable, Silbermann said that the virtual pinboard's redesigned profiles pages will be released this week and they will be beautiful.
"I'm so excited about it," Silbermann said during a SXSW conference today. "We wanted to make it more beautiful...to make your profile different in kind than the profile you have on Facebook."
The redesign will display people's influencers more prominently and the ability to find other like-minded users will become easier, reports Mashable. Additionally, Silbermann said users will be able to pin video from Vimeo, Hulu, Netflix, and more.
Launched less than two years ago, Pinterest has grown exponentially and now has more than 11 million unique monthly users, according to TechCrunch. The site also drives more referral traffic than Google+, LinkedIn, and YouTube combined. And it's still in its invite-only phase.
As for the iPad app, Silbermann would not give a specific release date but did confirm it is in the works. So far the only Pinterest app out there is for iPhones.
