A new survey from Boston-based Atlantic-ACM says that nearly half of all U.S. long-distance telephone service providers plan to offer their customers Internet access in the future.
The survey, The Internet and Online Services: The Growing Pie, is based on data gathered from long-distance service providers, company reports, FCC statistics, interviews, and financial analysts.
As more Americans turn to telecommuting, easy telephone and Internet access from a single provider may become more attractive.
