When ghosts take over your town, who ya gonna call?

In this full-length "Ghostbusters" trailer, we see the new specter-fighting team of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon suit up and get ready for battle. The trailer for the upcoming movie made its debut Thursday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." This version of "Ghostbusters" is a reboot of the 1984 comedy but with female leads.

"We have dedicated our whole lives to studying the paranormal," McCarthy's character, Abby Yates, says in the trailer. "Now there's sightings all over the city. There are people out there who need our help."

Each new Ghostbuster has her own specialty: Kate McKinnon plays the "brilliant engineer" Jillian Holtzmann. Kristen Wiig is the quantum physics genius Erin Gilbert. Leslie Jones is Patty Tolan, the street-savvy New York expert who also owns the hearse that they transform into their epic ghostbusting vehicle, Ecto-1. And McCarthy as Yates seems to be the one who keeps them all on track and motivated to fight spirits.

The plot is revealed too. Apparently, someone is creating a device that amplifies paranormal activity, and the ghostbusters might be the only ones who can stop it. Oh, and the ghosts can possess humans too.

"When you watch the trailer online today, if possible play it on big speakers or with a good pair of headphones," "Ghostbusters" director Paul Feig tweeted. "Crank it up, friends!"

On Wednesday, a few "Ghostbusters" fans on the Sony Pictures campus got to see the new trailer ahead of time with Feig and producer Ivan Reitman. Good thing they were all suited up with their proton packs, just in case.

"Ghostbusters" comes out July 15 in the US and UK, with an Australia opening date yet to be announced.
