Netflix is working on an audio-only mode that's popped up for some subscribers, the company confirmed, Wednesday.

Those with access to the feature will see a "video off" button toward the top of their full-screen player. This way, your favorite show could function something like a podcast playing in the background, Android Police reported.

"We're always looking for new ways to improve the Netflix mobile experience for our members. We run tests in different countries and for different periods of time -- and only make them broadly available if people find them useful," a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement.

The feature was first uncovered by XDA Developers in October.
