Netcom to Offer ISDN Access Nationwide

Netcom On-Line Communication Services announced at Comdex in Las Vegas that it will roll out ISDN access in San Francisco later this year. The San Jose, California-based company said the service would be extended nationwide by the end of 1996.

Netcom plans to roll out the new service slowly and conduct compatibility tests with major ISDN hardware manufacturers.

The company also announced that the 2.1 version of its NetCruiser client/server interface will be available by the end of this month. Netcom says it will have a Macintosh version of the new program ready in the first part of next year.
