Microsoft today released its Internet Explorer version 2.0 for the Macintosh operating system. The browser is available for download free of charge at Microsoft's site.

Microsoft Internet Explorer supports both Macintosh and Power Macintosh systems running System 7.0.1 or higher, the company said.

The browser also supports video, 3D virtual reality environments, and digital formats.
