Marvel teases an extended look at 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

A longer trailer is debuting Thursday on late-night TV, but first, a short tease.

Marvel's Spider-Man cinematic reboot will get the full trailer treatment later this week when new footage debuts during the Jimmy Kimmel Live late-night talk show on ABC.

But Marvel's Twitter account just posted a teaser of that trailer, making this one of the first opportunities to see any footage from the latest MCU film.

In the 17-second clip, we see Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, receive a metal case with an "upgraded" suit from inventor Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. The package is delivered by Jon Favreau, who besides playing Stark's assistant in a series of cameos across different Marvel films, also directed the first two Iron Man installments, starting in 2008.

The most notable thing about the short clip, at least to this retro comics fan, is the webbing under Spidey's arms, which is reminiscent of the original Steve Ditko 1960s design.
