In an attempt to broaden the audience for its Breeze online-conferencing technology to include marketers, Macromedia has bundled Breeze 5 with other offerings, established an "event service team" and introduced a promotional rate for the package. Macromedia released Breeze 5 in May.
Included in the package are an online seminar room accommodating up to 2500 participants, event management and tracking tools, and consulting services. The event services team will help customers train presenters and hosts to use the software, moderate events will provide technical assistance. As a promotion, Macromedia is offering a single-use Breeze seminar through September 26 at 50 percent off the regular price. Before the discount, 50-person seminar rooms cost $2,500; an events module for registration, reminders and reporting cost $1,500; and services including practice runs and meeting moderation cost $2,500.
