LogicLibrary buys bug catcher

Software company plans to acquire BugScan, which makes software to automatically check for program errors.

Software company LogicLibrary on Wednesday announced plans to acquire BugScan, which makes software to automatically check for program errors.

LogicLibrary sells an asset management application that gives programmers a place to store and search for existing software that can be used during development. The company said it will incorporate the BugScan software into its Logidex by the end of the year. The combination will allow developers to identify vulnerabilities in software, including third-party components, the company said.
