'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword' gets modern feel, lock, stock and throne

In his signature style, director Guy Ritchie reimagines the legend of King Arthur as a rough-around-the-edges bloke who just wants what's rightfully his -- the throne.

Director Guy Ritchie makes the kind of movies that take fans into dangerous alleyways as they follow the misadventures of everyone from small-time hustlers to Sherlock Holmes.

This time the British director takes on the legend of King Arthur, giving the young man -- played by Charlie Hunnam -- a streetwise swagger and a mission to reclaim his royal birthright.

In the new trailer released by Warner Bros. on Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con (our coverage here), Hunnam fights and gathers his mates for the epic action to come. And yes, he also grabs that famous sword out of the stone -- all with attitude.

In addition to Hunnam, "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" also stars Jude Law ("Sherlock Holmes"), Djimon Hounsou ("Guardians of the Galaxy"), Eric Bana ("Star Trek"), Aidan Gillen ("Game of Thrones") and Katie McGrath ("Jurassic World").

The film opens on March 24, 2017, in the US and UK.
