Kanye is having a rough time. Here's what we know about his situation.

Kanye West is as notorious a beatmaker, record producer and rapper as he is a narcissistic rant-monster.

His most recent diatribes included controversial remarks about Donald Trump, Google, racism, and business partners Beyonce and Jay Z. To make things worse, at his own concert in Sacramento he ended the show three songs into his set after starting it 90 minutes late. (Understandably bitter, one local radio station has banned his music from its airwaves.)

The next day he cancelled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour due to exhaustion and admitted himself to a hospital for psychiatric observation, according to reports.

While there's been no official comment from West's team, the internet is running wild with theories about the rapper having a mental breakdown of sorts.

In light of his hospitalization, an old Dave Chappelle interview, in which the comedian discusses the toxicity of celebrity culture and Hollywood, is getting more shares in an attempt to give context to Kanye's actions.

Stepping back a bit we can begin to track some of the possible origins of this latest celebrity meltdown. With the traumatic heist-movie-like robbery of his wife Kim Kardashian and the recent 10th anniversary of his mom's passing, Kanye is really going through some shit.

Friends and fans are showing their support of Kanye, with rappers such as Lupe Fiasco, Twista and Pusha T penning open letters to their friend in need. I'm sure this story isn't over yet. I, for one, hope Yeezy gets well soon.
