Hulu Plus is now available on the Wii U.

The company launched its service on Nintendo's new console yesterday. Hulu Plus users will find that as they watch shows on their television, the GamePad will play an integral role in the viewing experience. While watching a show on the big screen, the Wii U's GamePad displays information on a host of topics, including the current show or episode. Users can also queue up another episode to watch on the big screen.

Hulu didn't just stop there. According to the company, users can also watch the show they were previously watching on the television on the GamePad. To do so, users need to tap the proper icon on the bottom of the screen.

Nintendo launched its Wii U on Sunday. Although the console had promised a host of entertainment features, including a television programming handling through a service, called TVii, most of the features were missing at launch. Nintendo plans to deliver those features in the coming weeks. And save for Netflix, the Wii U's streaming offering was a little light. Hulu, though, should help bolster that.

Hulu Plus costs customers $8 per month. To get Wii U users started on the service, Hulu is offering a one-week free trial.
