Facebook is known for showing you what its smarter-than-you algorithms have determined to be important, regardless of when it was posted. The option to rearrange your News Feed by most recent posts is present, but hidden and a hassle to access on a mobile device.

Starting today, however, Facebook is giving you better control over your feed with a new feature.

The new feature, called "See First," lets you designate which of your Facebook friends' posts you want to see at the top of your feed at all times.

According to the report, the feature is currently only available on iOS devices, with plans for Android and desktop access in the near future.

Without further ado, here's what you need to do to set your See First friends list:

Launch the Facebook app on your iOS device, then tap on the More button in the bottom-right corner. Scroll to the bottom of the menu, where you'll find News Feed Preferences; tap on it.

On the following screen you'll find a list of four options to help you take control of your feed. Should you only have three options present, force close and relaunch the app.

Select the top option Prioritize who to see first.

A grid of your friends profile pictures will show up. Tap on each friend or page you'd like to see atop your news feed. You'll know a person or page is selected thanks to a blue star indicator that's placed atop the profile picture.

When you're finished, tap on Done followed by Close. You can adjust and tweak this list at any time by visiting this same settings screen, tapping on a friend to remove them from the list.
