Halloween is taking over your newsfeed

Social Cues: Also buzzing across social media, the presidential election, the MacBook Pro and a potential iPad killer.

Halloween is everywhere on social media.

Halloween is creeping, oozing and slithering all over social media.

Even the 2016 presidential election is taking a backseat to the holiday, despite the October Surprise that's haunting Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Social Cues is your go-to guide on what's trending across Facebook and Twitter each morning. Here's what people on social media are talking about this Monday morning:

Happy Halloween: Trick or tweet! Your newsfeed has been transformed into an unofficial costume contest. If you need it, here's some last-minute inspiration: the Transformer Amazon Prime, the "Stranger Things" logo and Sexy Ebola. (Why is that a thing?) If you need other suggestions, just ask Siri. Regardless of what you wear, this young Jedi has already won Halloween on social media.

Now playing: Watch this: Appy Halloween: Pokemon Go, Facebook, Google offer spooky...

Hillary Clinton: A bombshell announcement from FBI director James Comey on Friday sent social media into a frenzy: The Democratic presidential candidate stirred up four different trending topics across Twitter and Facebook. That came about after Comey said the FBI is revisiting that email server scandal because an unrelated investigation into former US Rep. Anthony Weiner's sexting found more emails potentially tied to Clinton.

Huawei: The Chinese tech company could have an iPad killer on its hands. More than 1 million people were buzzing on Facebook about Huawei's latest devices, including the Huawei Mate 9 phablet that is apparently decked out on specs. Meanwhile, CNET's Xiomara Blanco has hailed the MediaPad M3 as the "best Android alternative to the Apple iPad Mini 4."

International Space Station: Welcome home! Astronauts from Russia, Japan and the US returned home on Saturday after 115 days in space. More than 1 million people viewed the two-hour video of their return on Facebook Live and celebrated their safe voyage back.

MacBook Pro: The headphone jack isn't the only thing Apple is killing off. The company's latest laptops were trending on Facebook after Pingie discovered that the iconic startup chime is gone. What's next on your hit list, Apple?
