As well as a redesigned Play Store on Android, Google has launched its Music service for Australian users.
Google Music has been available since November 2011 for several overseas countries, including the US and UK. As spotted by technology blog TechAU, the service is finally available for Australian and New Zealand users, as well as listeners in Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland and Portugal.
Music is slightly different to other streaming services on the market, as it allows you to store up to 20,000 of your own songs from your existing music collection or purchases made from the Play Store, and listen to them across devices.
At launch, Google has also added a hub that highlights Australian artists not signed to a label, which allows them to sell directly to consumers by setting their own prices.
Google Music is available via the web interface or through the Android app.
