Film site seeks profits in travel

When Eveo.com launched a little more than a year ago, it set out as a Web site dedicated to helping budding filmmakers push their work online. In an attempt to tap into the burgeoning travel market, the San Francisco-based company has adjusted its focus with the launch of a new product dubbed EveoTravel. The product is designed for tourism businesses, allowing them to provide customers virtual tours of travel destinations and offering travelers a way to share their vacation videos online. Eveo is one of many entertainment sites that has had to come up with alternatives to survive the faltering market. Many such companies were unable to weather the economic downturn, such as Pop.com, which fizzled before it even hit the Web, Psuedo.com and Digital Entertainment Network.
