If you're looking for a reason to pay attention to Tuesday night's vice presidential debate rather than say the American League Wild Card game, Donald Trump might have the best reason.
The Republican candidate for president said Tuesday he will be live-tweeting the debate between his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, and Hillary Clinton's running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia.
It wasn't immediately clear if Clinton would be active on Twitter during the debate too; her campaign team didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. But when informed of Trump's announcement, Clinton spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri told the Associated Press, "Oh good."
This isn't Trump's first foray into live-tweeting debates. The billionaire businessman also live-tweeted during the Democratic presidential debate in October 2015.
