Dell announced Tuesday that it has acquired ACS, an IT application management services company. ACS, based in the United Kingdom, provides applications management and deployment services, as well as consulting on systems and other infrastructure issues.

The acquisition comes as Microsoft debuts Vista, its next generation operating system. Dell plans to offer ACS' services to help customers migrate to Vista, the hardware maker noted. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
