Digital Equipment will next week put together the pieces for a turnkey electronic commerce server when it announces a resale agreement with Internet software vendors Netscape and CyberCash.

Under the agreement, DEC will bundle its 64-bit AlphaServers with Netscape's Web server software and CyberCash's secure electronic payment software to make a turnkey electronic commerce system, according to a Digital spokesperson.

DEC, which has yet to set pricing for the system, will make the announcement at next week's Internet Electronic Commerce Conference and Exposition in New York, where the company will highlight the use of its family of AlphaServers as high-performance Web servers.
