CollabNet tool picked up for offshore work

Valtech, a French information technology consulting firm, and CollabNet, which sells a service for collaborative software development, announced on Tuesday that they have begun a reselling partnership to facilitate offshore application development.

Valtech plans to use CollabNet's SourceCast software service in consulting engagements that involve teams of developers spread out geographically. Valtech has a development center in Bangalore, India, and specializes in managing offshore development projects. CollabNet, which is based in Brisbane, Calif., offers a hosted service that allows dispersed developers to work on common projects.
