CNN cuts 20 Net employees

CNN says it has laid off 20 Internet employees. The layoffs come months after the cable news organization reduced its staff by 10 percent, or 400 employees, and disbanded its interactive unit as part of an overall cost-cutting measure by its corporate parent, Internet and media giant AOL Time Warner. CNN spokeswoman Edna Johnson said the layoffs "reflected redundancies in areas of responsibility and work requirements." Johnson added that there are no immediate plans for more cuts.
