In an attempt to reclaim her image from the amateur Web hosts,
Crawford is now strutting her way onto the Web.
The super model has launched her own Web site, Cindy.com, to satiate the apparent
her fans. The site features an array of pictures, interviews, and other
facts about Crawford.
However, unlike the myriad of amateur sites featuring photos of
Crawford--as well as countless other celebrities--this site is far from
free. It is promoting membership for $39.98 after November 17.
Members receive a CD-ROM with more pictures of Cindy, screen savers, wallpaper settings, and movie viewer software. Members also can enter Cindy
Crawford chat rooms and talk about her nails.
Crawford joins a number of celebrities that have taken the Net into their
own hands, instead of having pictures disseminated through unofficial Web
sites. Other celebrities, including David Bowie, have also created their
own Web sites.
