Start-up Internet PLC is teaming with pop star Britney Spears on its first memory card, the Britney SmartFlash card kit. The $29.95 SmartFlash kit comes with a card and a USB card reader. When the card is inserted into a reader that is connected to a computer with Internet access, a Web browser is launched and is directed to a secure Web site where viewers can access information about coming tours and other promotions. When the card is removed, the site closes. The kit is available on the Britney Spears fan club site. Internet PLC is developing other cards that can access new content.
