Brainworks.net Turns On Video Network

Brainworks.net today launched a multimedia video network accessible via the Web at http://www.brainworks.net/.

Full access to the multimedia network's video, text, sound, online conferences, and open-camera forums will require ISDN service and at least a 486 PC. Users with 14.4- or 28.8-kbps modems will have limited access to the Brainworks site, company officials said.

The network will offer scheduled programming, listed in the Brainworks.netGuide. Programs can be viewed according to the schedule or downloaded on demand from the network's Knowledge Bank.

By this fall, the network will offer Open Camera Forums, live interactive videocasts interspersed with multimedia materials that let participants interact with performers or guest experts.

Available free for now, the network will be offered on a subscription basis starting in the fall.
