Apple exec leaves EarthLink board

EarthLink says Apple Computer Vice President Phil Schiller has resigned from the company's board of directors. The Internet service provider announced two new additions to the board: venture capitalist Robert M. Metcalfe of Polaris Venture Partners and Marce Fuller, CEO of Mirant, a marketer of gas and electricity. Atlanta-based EarthLink said Schiller stepped down to "focus more attention on his duties at Apple."
