Open-source firm renames, moves to U.S.
Netline Internet Service becomes Openexchange and moves from Olpe, Germany, to Tarrytown, N.Y.
Netline Internet Service, the company behind an open-source rival to Microsoft Exchange called Open-Xchange Server, has renamed itself after its product. The newly named Openexchange also moved its headquarters from Olpe, Germany to Tarrytown, N.Y.
The move "gives us improved access to growth capital and a better finger on the pulse of the U.S. market," said Chief Executive Frank Hoberg, and the "Netline" name was already taken in the United States.
