Nokia will hold its next Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi on October 22 where it's likely to take the wraps off a new big-screen Lumia.

An image touting the event portrays a boat with the Nokia logo sailing toward the shores of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. The image doesn't offer any details beyond the date and location. But Nokia is expected to unveil its new Lumia 1520 smartphone at the event.

Sporting a 6-inch display, the 1520 would be the largest-screened Lumia device to date, pushing it more into phablet territory. Reports of the 6-inch handset have popped up online, with known leaker @evleaks posting alleged photos of the new device.

The launch event was reportedly scheduled to take place in New York City on September 26. But sources told The Verge last week that the event had been pushed back, possibly because of Microsoft's purchase of Nokia's device and services division.
