Verizon's new 3G phone

Motorola and Verizon yesterday formally introduced the new Motorola E815. The silver flip phone will be the fourth handset to support Verizon's 3G EV-DO network and its multimedia V Cast service. Like Verizon's other multimedia handsets, the E815 comes crammed with audio and video features, including a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music player, and support for streaming video.

You also get Bluetooth, a speakerphone, 40MB of internal memory, a TransFlash card slot, a wireless Web browser, a 262,000-color display, and the usual assortment of personal organizer goodies. And of course, the E815 makes phone calls too. We'll have a review in the next few weeks, so check back for our full assessment. If you're eager to snatch it up quickly, the E815 will set you back a reasonable $149 or $99 with a two-year service agreement.
