U.S. Cellular dials up own Moto X

The Motorola flagship smartphone arrives in U.S .Cellular's retail locations starting September 6.

U.S. Cellular has become the latest wireless provider to offer Motorola's Moto X Android smartphone.

The nation's fifth largest carrier announced on Wednesday that the flagship Moto X handset is now available for purchase.

Priced at $199 with a two-year service agreement, the Motorola smartphone is offered in woven black and woven white shades.

Don't rush out the door just yet -- the Moto X is not expected in retail stores until Friday. Those who preordered the device will be happy to learn that shipments have already begun.

U.S. Cellular is offering a limited-time promotion that provides customers with a $75 Switcher Bonus should they port their number from another carrier.

Unfortunately, AT&T customers are the first to be able to use Moto Maker to customize their phones.
