T-Mobile and MetroPCS on Tuesday announced the availability of the LG Optimus L70 and Optimus L90 . First announced at Mobile World Congress in February, the duo are powered by Android 4.4 KitKat and feature LG's custom user interface modifications.

T-Mobile will offer the higher end of the two, the 4G LTE-ready Optimus L90. Details include a 4.7-inch qHD display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2,540mAh battery. Running things under the hood are a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, and 1GB RAM. The phone also has 8GB of internal storage.

The Optimus L90 will be available beginning April 30 with a full retail cost of $228. Qualified customers have the option cost of buying the handset at $0 down with 24 equal monthly device payments of $9.50.

The Optimus L70 is immediately available from MetroPCS for $49 after a $100 instant rebate. Specifications here include 4.5-inch display, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 2,100mAh battery. More modestly-powered on a number of fronts, the L70 employs a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM, and has 4GB internal storage.

As an incentive to lure new customers, MetroPCS will toss in an extra $49 mail-in rebate for anyone who ports their number and pre-pays for a second month of service.
