Hanging on to find out when a hot handset is coming to T-Mobile here in the UK? The operator has just revealed when it'll start selling four new smart phones: the HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Motorola Atrix and Samsung Galaxy Ace.

According to updates to the network's Coming Soon page (as spotted by Unwired View), HTC's Desire S will be available in April. Unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February, it updates the popular Desire smart phone with Android 2.4 Gingerbread and the latest version of HTC's Sense UI, although it has the same 3.7-inch screen and 1GHz processor as its predecessor.

You should know all about the Xperia Play by now: it's Sony Ericsson's take on a PlayStation Phone, running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with a 4-inch screen and a slide-out gaming pad. It'll come with six games preloaded, and another 50 available to buy from its dedicated PlayStation Suite store. This will also go on sale in April from T-Mobile.

The Motorola Atrix was first shown off at CES in January, and is a powerful dual-core Android 2.2 smart phone -- although it'll hopefully be Gingerbreaded up by the time it's out in June. The Atrix has a dual-core 1GHz processor and a 4-inch screen at 'qHD' resolution (960x540 pixels), but its most intriguing feature is its ability to slot into a laptop dock for big-screen computing.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Ace will touch down this month, which means next week, effectively. It's a pocketable phone running Android 2.2 Froyo, with an 800MHz processor and a 3.5-inch screen. Less for geeks, and more for mainstream mobile buyers, it's fair to say.

It's important to note that all these phones will be coming to other UK operators too -- it's just that T-Mobile has provided updates on the months they'll be available.
