Carrier chief John Legere calls out AT&T's CEO in his tweet revealing a fourth Uncarrier event.
Taking public swipes at archrival AT&T has become so second-nature to T-Mobile CEO John Legere, he's now folding it into company news announcements.
#ItsAboutCustomers -Time to eliminate another customer pain point? Time for #Uncarrier4? Yes it's time! Stay tuned...Happy New Year #Randall
— John Legere (@JohnLegere) December 18, 2013
In a tweet on Wednesday, Legere announced to customers T-Mobile's plans for a fourth "Uncarrier" event. T-Mobile has used these events to reveal the kind of industry-challenging plans that has reenergized the brand's appeal and successfully drawn customers from Verizon and AT&T into T-Mobile's fold.
Legere uses the hashtag #Randall to further engage AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson in an one-sided Twitter battle waged over customer loyalty.
Legere's tweet doesn't pinpoint the time frame for such an event, but certainly not until early 2014. The Consumer Electronics Show, which takes place January 6-10, would certainly be an ideal location to hold such an announcement. Indeed, T-Mobile has typically hosted evening events at CES before -- potshots lobbed at AT&T and all.
