Sony sells ring tones in U.S.

Sony Music Entertainment has begun selling ring tones for customers of Cingular and AT&T Wireless who own certain Nokia handsets. This is the first time Sony has sold ring tones in the United States. To replace a cell phone's ring tone with, say, the theme from "Batman," people must visit the Sony Web site. The ring tones cost about $2 each. Sony is working with YourMobile, a wireless content provider, in the effort.
