Short Take: Williams agrees to sell conferencing unit

Williams Communications has agreed to sell its Williams Conferencing unit to The Genesys Group, a European and Asian teleconferencing company, for about $39 million. Genesys said it would finance the purchase through convertible bonds and senior debt.
