U.S. Robotics released two new low-end routers for remote offices seeking connections to corporate networks. USR, fresh off of a $6.6 billion merger with 3Com, has optimized the two new LANLinker models so that they can be set up by anyone. The LANLinker 56, priced at $995, allows access to networks via Frame Relay or PPP connections; the LANLinker BRI, priced at $795, supports ISDN connections. Both products are shipping now.
