Short Take: Shaw speeds cable upgrades

Shaw Communications, one of @Home Network's early Canadian cable partners, said it will accelerate its two-way cable upgrades due, in part, to strong demand for the @Home high-speed Net access service. Shaw plans to finish upgrades to all its cable systems, which pass 2.3 million homes and serve 1.8 million customers, within six months. The cable operator recently reached the 100,000 @Home subscriber milestone.
