Short Take: SGI to port OpenView to Irix OS

Hewlett-Packard and Silicon Graphics signed an agreement for SGI to port HP OpenView Network Node Manager--an enterprise-management framework--to the Silicon Graphics Irix operating system. In addition, Silicon will also resell HP OpenView products and services. SGI will offer HP OpenView for the Irix operating system in January 1998. Prices for the enterprise software will start at $5,000.
