Short Take: Pluris hires Joseph Kennedy as new CEO

High-end routing equipment start-up Pluris announced it has hired Joseph Kennedy as its president, chief executive, and chairman of the board. Kennedy was previously chief of Rapid City Communications, a Gigabit-speed networking start-up acquired by Bay Networks before it was bought by Nortel Networks. Bulent Erbilgin, Pluris' vice president of engineering, had been serving as the company's acting chief executive.
