Short Take: Networking gear market to grow to $50 billion by year-end

The worldwide networking equipment market is expected to hit almost $50 billion in total revenues by year-end, according to market research firm Cahners In-Stat Group. The market grew to $11.8 billion in second quarter of this year, an 8 percent increase from first quarter, according to the firm.
