Microsoft announced the availability of the Open Database Connectivity version 3.0 Software Development Kit. ODBC, an open-standard application program interface, allows applications to access heterogeneous structured query language data and insulates applications from underlying network and database implementations. ODBC is available for download from the Microsoft ODBC Web site.
