Short Take: Lucent, Mirror Image sign development deal

Communications equipment giant Lucent Technologies and Mirror Image Internet, a Web content distribution firm, signed a partnership agreement to develop content delivery technology. Lucent formed a new division, its Internet Content Delivery and Distribution unit, to develop new technologies with help from Bell Labs. Ramesh Barasia will be president of the new unit.
