Short Take: IBM to port Lotus server to Unix machines

IBM plans to port the Domino Web server software produced by its subsidiary Lotus Development to its AS/400 and RS/6000 Unix machines. Starting at the end of February, IBM will bundle Lotus Domino 4.5 with its AIX 4.2 Entry or Advanced server licenses at no extra charge. The AS/400 port will take a little longer with beta testing scheduled to begin later this year, the company said.
