Internet service provider EarthLink Networks plans to launch high-speed Net access services in the San Francisco Bay Area and in San Diego next week. The digital subscriber line (DSL) service will offer users download speeds ranging from 1.5 mbps to 384 kbps, according to the company. EarthLink is offering the service in partnership with long distance firm Sprint, at $49.95 per month, including a one-time $198 charge for equipment. EarthLink in September agreed to merge with competing ISP MindSpring Enterprises.
