Short Take: Cisco opens DSL lab in Taiwan

Cisco Systems, in conjunction with the Institute for Information Industry, has opened a digital subscriber line (DSL) development and testing facility in Taiwan. Plans for the lab, which was designed to accelerate the adoption of the high-speed Net access technology, were first announced in June. The lab will be used to ensure Taiwanese computer and equipment makers' products meet DSL standards and work with Cisco equipment.
