Short Take: Cisco in deal with Italy's Omnitel

Data networking leader Cisco Systems announced a deal with Italian wireless player Omnitel to develop technology for integrated voice and data across a single network. Omnitel said it plans to utilize the technology to offer a wider array of services. Cisco also announced an Internet commerce initiative that includes a set of partners, consulting services, and expertise from the company.
