Charter Communications, a cable operator owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire cable system Vista Broadband Communications based outside Atlanta. The Vista acquisition adds about 30,000 subscribers for Charter, which will have about 3.9 million customers when all its pending deals are completed.
